It might be cool to leave the decal in specific shapes/spots, like feathers, scales, or fur!!! I can understand the feeling that it disrupts your image, but honestly the texture is very fun and could be integrated (I think) if you want!!!

I think it works really well for the wolf fur texture. Maybe play with leaving on for some when a bit extra texture would work well.

at the ceramics school where my mom teaches they have all their colors in different jars and each jar has a swatch tied to it with what the color looks like once baked. half the swatch is matte and half is glazed so you can just look at the little tab hanging around it and know immediately. it's really really useful
